Assembly work will start at the beginning of September and is scheduled for completion in November. The solar panel installation will mean a saving of some 200 tonnes a year in terms of CO2 emissions.

Dexia Lease Chief executive Officer Jean-Michel Baetslé said “Dexia Lease, as market leader in the financing of PV systems in Flanders, is delighted to be able to support this example of sustainable undertaking together with Partner Logistics and Scheuten Solar. This project is possible thanks to the support of the European Investment Bank.”

Partner Logistics Chief Operating Officer Anton Mauritz said “A sustainable supply chain is of importance for our customers. We are happy, in cooperation with Scheuten, to reduce significantly the carbon footprint of our coldstore at Rijkevorsel and thus be a good partner for our customers in the field of

sustainability.”

Project Realization Director Ad Verbaas said “The installation of the roof system, with its nearly 3,000 solar panels, will take only three months and will be operationally connected to the grid before the end of the year. Cooperation with such reputable parties as Dexia Lease and Partner Logistics shows that Scheuten Solar is also the right partner in Belgium.”
