In addition, Octus and Quantum will collaboratively pursue a deep pipeline of energy-efficiency and alternative energy projects.
Chris Soderquist, CEO of Octus, said: “Quantum and its principals are industry pioneers with a rich history of successfully deploying energy efficiency projects throughout North America.
“Over the past 35 years they have managed more than $100m in energy projects for several hundred clients including Safeway, Bank of America, Sears, Hewlett-Packard and Chevron. This partnership significantly and immediately expands Octus’s product distribution and implementation of smart energy solutions.”
Jim Collins, president of Quantum, said: “We have witnessed, firsthand, the evolution of the energy-efficiency industry. While technologies and systems have matured, the industry’s laborious retrofit practice has remained static. Octus’s approach to automate and streamline energy efficiency through OctusSEP is novel and pragmatic, filling an unmet need in an industry that is just starting to experience explosive growth. We look forward to collaborating with Octus to capitalize the opportunity.”
Quantum has a pipeline in excess of $8m in smart energy proposals, including energy-efficiency retrofits and energy management engagements. Octus and Quantum will jointly pursue development of the existing pipeline, in addition to introducing the OctusSEP to Quantum’s past and present clients.
