The scope of the contract involves manufacture and delivery of one horizontal undersea tree, spare parts and installation services. The equipment is to be installed at 110 meters below the water surface and is planned for delivery in the second quarter of 2010.

“We are pleased to get the opportunity to work with the PVEP and demonstrate our execution capabilities to them,” said Dave Hutchinson, president of Subsea Asia Pacific for Aker Solutions.

“The stand-alone tree market is becoming increasingly important in this part of the world and this contract shows that we are competitive in this segment.”

PVEP is a subsidiary of Vietnam Oil and Gas Group (PetroVietnam).
