Emcore Corporation manufactures the triple junction gallium arsenide chips which are the heart of the SunCube. The chips are housed in a ground mounted dual axis tracking system, optimizing the available sunlight, concentrating 750 suns on the chips.
The SunCube Mark 9.2 CPV module is licensed by Vibrant Solar’s sister company Helios Solar LLC (Helios Solar) from Green and Gold Energy Pty, Ltd. (GGE) for the southwestern US and Hawaii.
Vibrant Solar will work on design, sales and installation of the systems in Colorado.
Helios Solar will construct an assembly plant along Colorado’s Front Range to produce the SunCube, importing SunCubes from GGE’s plant until the plant is commissioned.
