Financial difficulties and uncertainty in feedstock supply compelled the government to abandon its intentions to construct another refinery with a processing capacity of 300,000 barrels of crude oil per day in Tuban, East Java.

The Bojonegera project with a processing capacity of 300,000 barrels of crude oil per day is to be constructed in cooperation with an investor from Iran, Oil and Gas Director General Evita Herawati Legowo said, adding the project is to be concluded in 2015.

Indonesian government has yet to look for the financer of the Balongan project to be concluded in 2014.
