Lutron Electronics, Philips Electronics and Roal Electronics have joined the Alliance as participating members, and Energy Solutions International, Good Energies, Lucifer Lighting, MCV Technologies and Standard Solar have joined at the supporting level. New Liaison Members include the Continental Automated Building Association (CABA) and the EnergyPeak Alliance.
Brian Patterson, chairman of EMerge Alliance, said: “The Alliance achieved a major milestone with the release of the Standard last month and we’re moving forward with the development of our third-party registration and evaluation programme.
“Not only does the continued membership growth we’ve experienced demonstrate the significant support for this new approach to power in our buildings, but it also accelerates progress toward application and interoperability of products based on the Standard.”
The new EMerge standard integrates interior infrastructures, power, controls and peripheral devices in a common platform for the selective and scaleable distribution of low-voltage DC power. It is expected to provide a means of direct connection between on-site alternative energy sources and interior controls and enable commercial buildings to be energy efficient.
