Located 120km off the Yorkshire Coast, the £6bn ($8.7bn) Hornsea Project One project is designed to generate electricity for more than one million homes.
Under the contract, DeepOcean will be responsible for the installation and trenching of 93 array cables which have a combined length of 203km.
The contract scope also includes the associated route engineering, pre-lay grapnel run operations, installation of cable protection system and messenger wires.
DeepOcean cables and trenching commercial director Pierre Boyde said: “After the awards on the Race Bank & Walney Extension projects we are delighted to be further developing our relationship with DONG Energy.”
DONG Energy said that the Hornsea Project One will contribute to lower carbon emissions while playing a major role in developing the country’s offshore wind supply chain.
DeepOcean plans to undertake offshore work in 2018/2019 using its in-house fleet of cable installation and trenching vessels.
Hornsea Project One project director Duncan Clark said: "As we progress with the construction of our wind farms we have an important part to play in linking UK firms to develop the supply chain further and support this growing sector.”
The project, which will feature 174 Siemens wind turbines each with a generation capacity of 7MW, is expected to transform the region into a hub for the UK's renewable energy sector.
