The jackup rig, which will be fabricated by Lamprell in its yard in Hamriyah, is designed to operate in water depths of up to 350ft and will have a rated drilling depth of 30,000ft.
Lamprell CEO Nigel McCue said this order further underlines the strength of the market for jackup rigs and Lamprell’s strong positioning within this market.
Lamprell is a provider of specialist engineering services to the international offshore and onshore oil & gas and renewables industries.
