Under the deal, Alstom will carry out the study for the 350MW oxy-combustion CCS demonstration project located in Daqing.
The CCS demonstration project, which is capable of capturing above one million metric tonnes of CO2 per year, is scheduled for operation in 2015.
Alstom deputy CEO Philippe Joubert said that a milestone for the cooperation between Alstom and Datang, the signing of the feasibility study agreement marks a prosperous beginning of the companies’ future cooperation.
