As per the latest index, published by the industry body Oil & Gas UK, the operators’ outlook rose by one point from 48 to 49 and the major operators’ index dropped from 52 to 51.

The independents’ index increased by one point to 48 and the contractor community confidence fell one point from 56 to 55.

The latest index showed that drilling and well services increased from 54 to 57, while facilities engineering, operations and maintenance fell by one point to 55.

Marine and subsea dropped 11 point from 64 to 53 and support services increased by three points from 54 to 57.

The index gauges overall industry confidence on a 100 point scale and measures a number of economic indicators.
