The contract is for the license and basic engineering of a naphtha steam cracking unit and a butadiene and benzene extraction unit for a new petrochemical complex of VNHK.
Using the Lummus SRT-VII heater technology, the steam cracking unit will produce more than 1.4 million metric tons per annum (MTA) of ethylene and more than 600,000 MTA of propylene.
According to CB&I, the butadiene unit is designed to produce about 230,000MTA of benzene and about 200,000MTA of butadiene.
