Honeywell’s UOP will provide its UOP C3 Oleflex process technology to the new propane dehydrogenation unit, to produce 750,000 metric tons propylene.
The unit is scheduled to start up in 2015.
Oleflex process will make use of catalytic dehydrogenation to convert shale gas-derived propane to propylene and will provide lowest cash cost of production and the highest return on investment.
These outcomes are enabled by low operating and capital costs, high propylene yield and reliability, and maximum operating flexibility.
