Southern California Edison received approval for three 20-year power purchase agreements (PPAs) with Solar Star California (SunPower) for three solar projects Quinto, AVSP I, and AVSP II.

The PPAs are for solar photovoltaic facilities that will provide 711MW of new renewable capacity and an estimated 1,835GWh of energy annually.

Deliveries from the Quinto project are expected begin in December 2014 and from the AVSP I and AVSP II to begin in October 2016.

CPUC also approved a 25-year PPA between Pacific Gas and Electric Company and Montezuma Winds II, (NextEra) for the Montezuma Winds II project, which will provide 78.2MW of new renewable capacity and an estimated 201GWh of energy annually.

Deliveries from the Montezuma Winds II project are expected to begin in November 2012.

In addition, San Diego Gas & Electric received approval for a 20-year PPA with Ocotillo Express, (Pattern) for the Ocotillo Express wind project, which will provide 299MW of new renewable capacity and an estimated 891GWh of energy annually.

Deliveries from the Ocotillo Express project are scheduled to begin in December 2012.
