Under the terms of the contract, Nordex will supply 20 multi-megawatt units from its 2.5MW series to be deployed at the Zeytineli wind farm in the first quarter of 2013.

The Zeytineli wind farm is to be installed on the hill rows of Alaçatý-Çeþme in the province of Izmir.

Previously, Nordex has assembled three wind farms with a total capacity of 210MW.

The facility will generate a combined annual yield of around 165gW/hours, and reduce 160,000 tons of CO2 emissions.

Bilgin Enerji vice president Tolga Bilgin said with the hybrid design layout consisting of both N90 and N100 gamma generation turbines, Nordex provided the optimum energy yield for Zeytineli wind project.

Financial partners included are BayernLB and Euler Hermes Kreditversicherung.

In addition to the conventional sale of electricity, Bilgin Enerji also plans to market carbon credits from the project.
