Bateman will design, supply, deliver, erect and commission the conveyor system including all mechanical and structural equipment.
The company will supply a 118-m-long sacrificial and a 3 640-m-long overland conveyor for an additional primary crusher and a 502-m-long stockpile feed conveyor for the existing stockpile.
The conveyors have a design capacity of 5 140 t/h, reports miningweekly.com.
The conveying system will transport copper ore from the run-of-mine tip to a stockpile, which feeds the processing plant.
Bateman Engineered Technologies will design the conveyor and its components at its facilities in Bedfordview, South Africa.
