The firm acquired the plant from Signal Hill Power for an undisclosed sum.

The plant employs GE gas combustion turbines with associated heat recovery steam generators and an ABB steam generator.

The facility supplies power into the Electric Reliability Council of Texas West market during periods of peak demand or supply volatility.

LDH Energy head and president Michael Dowling said the acquisition represents the company’s investment philosophy of focusing on quality assets that are well-positioned to serve key markets.

"We continue to actively pursue additional investment opportunities across the power and natural resources sectors," added Dowling.
