Eagle Well Services serves customers in the Bakken basin in the US states of North Dakota and Montana.
Steel Excel president and CEO John Quicke said that the Eagle Well Services business complements the Rogue Pressure Services acquisition Steel Excel completed last December.
"We are looking forward to having a major presence in the Bakken basin as well as the Eagle Ford basin in Texas," Quicke said.
Steel Excel said its business is to identify and acquire profitable business operations in which it can utilize its existing working capital and maximize the use of its net operating losses.
