The plant will have three turbine generators and a production capacity of 48MW.

VNS deputy head Nguyen Huu Phat said the plant was Viet Nam’s first low water column hydro electric power project.

A low water column means there is a low differentiation between the water reservoir and the dam, said VNS.

VNS said one turbine of plant will begin operation at the end of April and the last turbine of the plant is expected to put into operation in October of this year.

Upon completion, the plant plans to generate 193.4 million kilowatt hours of electricity to the national grid, reports steelguru.com.
