Under the terms of a 20 year power purchase agreement, power generated by the farm will be sold to Nebraska Public Power District (NPPD).

The 22 wind turbine power project which will generate enough electricity to meet the power needs of 14,000 homes in the region is slated to be complete by this year-end.

EMG president Pedro Pizarro said, "We are pleased to be working again with NPPD to provide environmentally friendly wind power to their customers."

NPPD president and CEO Pat Pope said, "The energy produced will be shared with other Nebraska utilities as we have done at the Ainsworth and other EMG wind farms," said Pope.

Currently, NPPD is working with Omaha Public Power District and other Nebraska utilities as partners in the project.

EMG is a subsidiary of Edison International.
