The ETEC awarded the project contract to GPS on 17 October 2011.

Argan Chairman and chief executive officer Rainer Bosselmann said, "We look forward to working with ETEC toward the successful, on-time completion of this important project."

Gemma Power Systems is engineering, procuring and construction (EPC) Contractor providing a range of services to the power and alternative fuel industries.

Construction of the project is expected to be completed in December 2014.

Argan through its subsidiary Gemma Power Systems designs and builds energy plants.
