The contract was delivered for the Uttar Pradesh state thermal power utility, Uttar Pradesh Rajya Vidyut Utpadan Nigam Limited (UPRVUNL).
The 250MW unit of the Harduaganj Thermal Power Station is expected to add 6 million units of electricity to the grid every day.
BHEL, under the contract, manufactured, supplied, erected, tested and commissioned the main plant package and was also responsible for the associated auxiliaries and civil works for the power project.
The equipment for the thermal project were manufactured at the company’s different plants located in cities of Haridwar, Trichy, Ranipet, Hyderabad, Bangalore, Bhopal and Jhansi.
BHEL’s Power Sector – Northern Region was responsible for the erection and commissioning of the equipment.
The Harduaganj Thermal Power Station has two units each of 250MW and both of which are commissioned by BHEL.
The UPRVUNL has also selected BHEL for a 250MW unit at Parichha and two units of 500MW each at Anpara thermal power station.
