The contract has been delivered for Pragati Power.
The company has also synchronized the 280ton gas turbine with the grid and increased the stations total feeding power capacity to 1,000MW.
Under the terms of the contract, BHEL has designed, engineered, manufactured, supplied, erected and commissioned four frame 9FA gas turbine generator sets, two steam turbine generator sets and four heat recovery steam generators with controls and associated auxiliaries and balance of plant.
The company will also complete civil works and spares work associated with the project.
BHEL said the CCPP project will have two power blocks each with a generating capacity of 750MW utilizing natural gas as the fuel and will use treated water from sewage treatment plant as the source for raw water required for the plant.
The plant will also have two steam turbines each of 250MW which can be operated in open and closed cycle mode.
BHEL had previously set up a 330MW project for Pragati CCPP in Delhi.
