Power will be supplied to the Indian state of Madhya Pradesh, for a period of 25 years, under the tariff fixed by the Central Electricity Regulatory Authority.
The state of Madhya Pradesh is generating 575MW from its own hydro-power projects at the moment and 1,305MW is procured from the joint-venture projects, reports The Economic Times.
NTPC’s Sipat project in Bilaspur, has a total installed capacity of 2980MW, and secures its coal from Dipika Mines of South Eastern Coalfields and water is sourced from right bank canal originating from Hasdeo Barrage in Korba District.
