Under the terms of the 10-year agreement, Focus Graphite will supply up to 40,000 tons per year of large, medium and fine flake graphite concentrate as well as value added graphite products from Focus Graphite’s proposed Lac Knife Quebec mining and processing facility.
The Lac Knife graphite mine is located 27km southwest of Fermont, Quebec, Canada.
Focus Graphite president and chief operating officer Don Baxter said that the agreement holds the future development potential for Lac Knife.
"Not only is this offtake agreement the first of its kind in the graphite industry, it is significant in the fact that it encompasses the wide spectrum of Lac Knife’s offerings in pioneering the sale of small flake to extra large flake and value added technology products," Baxter said.
