The plant is owned by PGNiG TERMIKA, part of the PGNiG Group.
Under the terms of the contract, Alstom will upgrade a UK-50 type steam turbine by partially replacing elements of the blading system, rotor and stator blades and integration of new honeycomb seals.
The upgrade project is expected to increase power output by approximately 3MW and steam flow from the biomass boiler will be better optimized.
Alstom will complete the upgrade program by September 2013.
