Abu Dhabi Gas Industries Company (Gasco) had awarded the $450m contract, a few weeks ago.
The company will build the 297km gas line, which will cater to Emirates Aluminium and other industries in Taweelah.
Construction is scheduled to be complete in 2015, reports Reuters.
Gasco is a joint venture between Abu Dhabi National Oil Company, Shell, Total and Partex – which own 68%, 15%, 15% and 2% stake respectively.
