The new uranium project will not have any mills or long-term waste management facilities at the site while the radioactive material will be sent for processing to the nearby Key Lake mine, according to CBC.ca.
Located in the south-eastern portion of the Athabasca basin, approximately 35km north of Cameco’s Key Lake operation, the 590h Millennium uranium mine was designated as a separate project under the Cree Extension JV.
