As part of the testing activities, the company’s crew has carried out check assembly of the equipment in the presence of the customer as well as performed functional and oil tests, as such the parties have signed the act of acceptance.
The equipment will now be packaged and be ready for shipment, thus the contract will be closed in production. Turboatom will also be responsible for supervision of erection and technical manual on commissioning works.
As part of the modernization project, Turboatom is responsible to install a new runner and guide vane at the Kanevskaya plant. It will install new Kaplan-type runner with 6m diameter with updated blade system as well as a guide vane equipped with new blades and improved profiling at the plant.
The modernization project will improve the capacity of hydro unit to 23MW from 19.2MW; increase the efficiency by 4%; and increase reliability and service life of the turbine.
