The value of the contract, to be delivered for Yeosu Cogeneration, has not been disclosed.
Under the terms of the contract, the company will design the 60MWe CFB steam generator plus auxiliary equipment and will also provide site advisory services for the project.
Designed to burn coal, the steam generator will ensure compliance with all applicable environmental standards, the company said.
Foster Wheeler Power Group Asia CEO Mark Garvey said in the recent past, the company had delivered 5 CFB units to Hanwha for its projects.
"This order clearly confirms their full confidence in our world-class, competitive and environmentally friendly CFB technology," said Garvey.
The new steam generator will commence commercial operations in first quarter of 2015.
Yeosu Cogeneration is a subsidiary of Hanwha.
