Under the contract, Telvent will provide pipeline monitoring technology, liquids management system, and station control equipments, while Schneider Electric will offer automation equipments and shutdown system for the TPCOP project.
The two companies will together provide complete, integrated turnkey services to control and manage processes from field to business and increase the operational efficiency.
Telvent Chairman and CEO Ignacio Gonzalez said the TPCOP project will support the energy requirements across the Indonesia.
"Together, with Schneider Electric, we are able to offer a holistic solution that ensures a more efficient pipeline system and allows for future expansion and technology upgrades," Gonzalez said.
Telvent’s pipeline monitoring technology will be used to optimize the SCADA capabilities whereas the liquids management system will be employed to maximize the operations, measurement, product quality control and business processes.
The station control equipment by Telvent will provide real-time performance, historical and real-time trending, advanced alarm management and security for individual stations, and main control room.
Schneider Electric’s automation equipments will connect remote field instrumentation to the station and main control rooms to maximize TPCOP’s operations and business management.
The emergency shutdown system will ensure the safety and security of crude oil pipeline.
The new pipeline will upgrade an existing 80-year old pipeline.
