The drill program will target surface mineralization at two central hills on patented ground inside the property.
Drilling will additionally target a significant area of the NI 43-101 resources located close to the area, to convert the inferred category into the measured and indicated category.
Northern Vertex chief geologist Dr Bob Thompson said that the company intends to advance Moss into a near-term precious metal producer.
"The upcoming closely-spaced drill program will enable us to optimize our initial pit design, and expand our established 956,800-ounce Measured and Indicated gold-silver resource.
"The extensive development of the gold-silver bearing stockwork system in this region of the property makes this an ideal target location to pursue the initial pilot phase of our planned, multi-phase commercial development of the Moss gold-silver resource," Thompson said.
Northern Vertex is under discussions to finalize drill contracts for the estimated 5,000m, multi-hole, definition drill program on Moss, scheduled to begin in October 2012.
