The company along with its operators will spud two wells namely Manora-5 and Manora North-1 in the G1/48 concession located in the Northern Kra Basin, and will drill one well named Pathum-1 in the G3/48 concession located in the southern Sattakut Basin.
Tap Oil managing director, CEO Troy Hayden said the drilling program will help the company further explore the acreage and increase the value of its Thailand acquisition.
"The commencement of the drilling program in Thailand is an important event for Tap and will generate significant activity over the coming months," Hayden added.
"The current program, which will be fully funded from cash reserves, provides Tap with material exposure to a series of attractive prospects."
The company plans to drill the first well Manora-5 in the G1/48 concession on 4 October 2012 for a target depth of about 2,450m.
Tap is aiming for the Manora style prospects and test synrift lacustrine sands, the primary hydrocarbon bearing reservoirs in the Manora field.
The second well Manora North-1 in the G1/48 concession will be drilled in the month of December 2012.
Tap Oil has plans to spud the third well in the G3/48 concession in the month of November 2012 and will be tested for the petroleum potential of fluvial section as the primary target in the southern Sattakut Basin.
Pearl Oil (Amata) is the operator of G1/48 concession and Pearl Oil (Aoa) is the operator of the G3/48 concession.
