RWE Generation, a new company, will have a total generation capacity of 50,000MW and nearly 18,000 staff, according to the German power producer.
RWE deputy CEO Rolf Martin Schmitz was quoted by Bloomberg as saying that, "RWE Generation will deliver greater synergy and improve efficiency in a market environment that is currently difficult and uncertain."
Schmitz will oversee RWE Generation, which already has Matthias Hartung as its CEO. The new company will have Frank Weigand as its CFO and Alan Robinson as chief commercial officer.
