The First Startup complex includes a Naphtha Isomerization unit with a capacity of 600,000 tons a year.

PetroKazakhstan stated that the unit will feature advanced technologies and allows reducing an environmental impact by enhancing the high-octane gasoline production process.

It is being built in compliance with the Complex Development Plan of Oil Refineries of the Republic of Kazakhstan and within the framework of the RK State Program for Forced Industrial and Innovative Development.

Construction of the Naptha Isomerization unit is scheduled to be completed in 2015.

The project will allow PKOP to produce safe high-octane gasoline that complies with environmental classes K4 and K5 as per requirements of the Customs Union Technical Regulation as early as in 2016.
