Under the three-year contract, whose value was not disclosed, the Switzerland-based firm will provide FEED services for Statoil’s future projects at KÃ¥rstø and for Kollsnes processing plants.
The Kårstø processing plant, located in the north of Stavanger city, plays a vital role in transporting and treating gas and condensate (light oil) from areas on the Norwegian continental shelf.
The Kollsnes gas processing plant in the southern part of the island Oøy in Øygarden processes natural gas fields such as Kvitebjørn, Visund and Troll.
It has a capacity of processing 143 million standard cubic meters of natural gas per day.
The agreement, which came into effect on 1 November 2012, will run until 31 December 2015 and can be extended up to two more years.
Foster Wheeler plans to complete most of the work from its Glasgow office in Scotland.
