CPF will use Itron’s solar monitoring solution to monitor and sub meter the energy production of the residential solar systems CPF manages on behalf of investors.
The solar monitoring system comprise a solar meter embedded with cellular communications and management software.
According to Itron, the systems will be used to measure and manage solar production data at residences that are often distributed across a wide geographic area.
Itron has been shipping solar meters to CPF partners since December 2013.
The revenue-grade solar meters are ideal for accurately monitoring the production of residential and commercial solar systems.
