Drilling of the 16/3-5 well concerns with the spudding of an appraisal well in the license 501.
16/3-5 well will be spud about 2.9km east of well 16/2-7 and south of well 16/3-4 on Johan Sverdrup in the central part of the North Sea.
The drilling permit for the well is subject to Lundin Norway securing all the relevant permits and consents from the authorities.
Lundin is the operator of the PL501 with 40% ownership interest, and Statoil Petroleum with 40% and Maersk Oil Norway with 20% interest are the other licensees.
The production license consists of 16/2, 16/3, 16/5 and 16/6 blocks in the region.
