The program will help the companies in acquiring lands for setting up new solar and wind energy projects and develop them across the country.

Under the program, the current portfolios of the energy projects will also be financed quickly and more efficiently.

The companies expect to make their first transaction during the second quarter of 2014.

Altus Power America Origination head and managing partner Justin Marron said the company’s new program provides better opportunity to monetize power assets.

"This agreement will allow us to identify attractive solar and wind land opportunities throughout the country and efficiently deploy capital," Marron added.

Macquarie Corporate and Asset Finance North American Lending senior managing director and head Matthew Lancaster said, "This arrangement combines the provision of efficient asset-based financing with a strong track record in project sourcing and execution."
