The two companies signed an agreement related to the pursuit of the used fuel treatment and recycling facility project, the subject of a letter of intention signed in April 2013.
Industrial negotiations for the project, such as technical discussions to define the distribution of tasks and responsibilities are being finalized in line with the initial schedule, and are scheduled to soon advance to the commercial phase.
In addition, Arvea and CNC signed two more agreements to expand cooperation in the fields of operational support and maintenance of the future facility, as well as the used fuel logistical chain that is expecting strong growth in China in future.
The first agreement focuses on development of strategic partnership between both companies by identifying all opportunities for cooperation in all civil nuclear fields, in the fuel cycle as well as reactors and services.
The second agreement seeks creation of a joint venture in the field of digital safety instrumentation and control (I&C) systems, with focus on supply of the TELEPERM XS I&C platform to the Chinese market.
