Under the contract, Gamesa will supply 25 G97-2.0MW turbines for the wind farm being built in Shandong province.
The company said that delivery of the turbines are expected in July 2014, while commissioning of the wind project is due to take place before the end of the year.
Gamesa’s G97-2.0 MW class III wind turbine is specifically made for low-wind sites and it significantly reduces the cost of energy.
This new contract reinforces the commercial relationship between Gamesa and CGN Wind Energy (earlier known as Guangdong Nuclear) dating back to 2009.
Since then, Gamesa says the two parties have signed contracts accounting for 106MW.
