The company has withdrawn plans to develop new renewable energy projects at Grangemouth and Rosyth in Scotland, while it has also pulled out its application for a third project planned at the Port of Dundee after an objection from the Dundee city council.
According to the company, both the projects in Scotland were approved by the government and it is searching for suitable developers to take over the projects.
Forth Energy spokeswoman said both projects have gained consent from the Scottish government and the company is investigating options to attract other developers to take the projects forward.
"Forth Energy has withdrawn its application for the proposed plant at the Port of Dundee following an objection from Dundee City Council," the spokeswoman added.
The proposed Grangemouth combined-heat-and-power (CHP) plant was expected to be capable of producing 120MW of electricity and 200MW of heat, while the Rosyth plant was expected to produce 120MW of electricity and 30MW of heat.
