The company secured all the requisite authorizations including a mine permit, an Aquifer Exemption (AE), and AE concurrence from EPA Region 6 following review.

Uranium Energy has now accelerated construction at the site. Production from the site, along with output from the company’s Palangana project will be processed at the Hobson processing plant.

Uranium Energy president and CEO Amir Adnani remarked that this final authorization enables the company to begin production at Goliad.

"We are grateful to the EPA for its thorough reviews and for issuing this final concurrence.

"The Company’s near-term plan is to complete construction at the first production area at Goliad and to greatly increase the throughput of uranium at our centralized Hobson processing plant," Adnani added.

Goliad comprises an inferred resource of 1,501,400 pounds eU3O8 at an average grade of 0.05% and measured and indicated resources of 5,475,200 pounds eU3O8 at an average grade of 0.05%.
