The sampling was completed on 16 December 2012, during which the company extracted 222 samples of 5m² each.

Afri-Can plans to release the results of the program once the diamonds have been weighed by officials from the Ministry of Mines and Energy, Namibia.

The company’s EPL 3403 diamond concession covers an area of about 800km² and lies in close proximity to the Namdeb Diamond Corporation owned Atlantic One Mining Lease 47 producing over 1,100,000 carats per annum.

Namdeb is an 50:50 joint venture between De Beers and the Government of the Namibia and ML 47 is known as the largest marine diamond deposit worldwide.

Afri-Can is strategically targeting large marine diamond deposits in various prospective territories as part of its business plan.
