Outrigger Energy, a US-based midstream energy company, has announced that it is expanding the midstream capabilities in the Permian basin.

As part of the expansion, the company is adding a natural gas gathering and processing and crude oil gathering system in the Midland basin of West Texas.

The company will build, own and operate the system in Howard, Borden and Martin counties of Texas, while the system will be supported by long-term acreage dedications from independent producer Tall City Exploration.

Outrigger will comprise around 120 miles of natural gas gathering lines, 75 miles of crude oil gathering lines as well as related wellhead and measurement facilities in Midland basin, according to the company.

In addition, the system will include a 30-mile raw gas gathering header feeding a natural gas processing facility to be located in Martin county, and three field compressor stations.

Outrigger Energy CEO Dave Keanini said, "We are excited to commence development of our Midland Basin system on the heels of our Delaware Basin system announced last month."
