The energy center will convert biomass, such as yard and tree trimmings, into renewable diesel fuel and electricity.
The new facility will use UOP hydroprocessing technology, which converts hydrocarbons into clean-fuel products, and is expected to produce roughly 640 barrels-per-day of liquid fuel and 35MW of base-load electricity.
UOP is a supplier and licensor of process technology, catalysts, adsorbents, process plants and consulting services to the petroleum refining, petrochemical and gas processing industries.
