The well was drilled to a depth of 17,370ft, providing approximately 5,000ft of horizontal section within the reservoir, and the production casing string has now been run and cemented in place.
The well will be fracture stimulated in a similar fashion to the other Empyrean wells within the Eagle Ford Shale trend, the company said.
This is the second post-farmout well within the Sugarloaf project in which Empyrean has participated.
