In November 2013, the company shipped about 400 carats of uncut, gem quality diamonds from Sierra Leone to Solid Gold Jewellers in Perth comprising white diamonds, brown diamonds and yellow diamonds.

Around 107 diamonds from this shipment were sent to GIA in Hong Kong for certification, grading and laser inspection and the process is set to complete this month.

The second batch of diamonds from will be sent to Antwerp for assessment, while the small rough will be retained until Golden Saint has a larger quantity to make the manufacturing more cost effective.

Golden Saint started bulk sampling operations at the Tongo and Baja deposits where it has identified the Woa River and Sewa River drainage areas with significant potential for alluvial diamonds.

For the period 19 March 2013 to 31 December 2013, the company reported a loss of $2.87m, which included $1.27m AIM-listing expenses and $2.1m exploration and administrative costs. It had $2.37m in cash and cash equivalents.
