Under the contract, SNC-Lavalin will provide project management consultancy services for the front-end engineering design (FEED) and engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) stages of the expansion project.
ADOC, which is currently operating the Mubarraz, Umm Al Anbar and Neewat AlGhalan offshore fields off the Persian Gulf, aims to increase oil production from the existing oilfields as well as develop the Hail oilfield as part of expansion project.
To achieve the higher production, ADOC is seeking hydrocarbon handling capacity expansion of the existing facilities at Mubarraz and the Umm Al Anbar Site Terminal.
SNC-Lavalin Group Oil & Gas executive vice-president Terrance Ivers said, "This contract provides us with an opportunity to demonstrate our offshore capabilities in Abu Dhabi, a sector and region of the world which are key to our strategy going forward."
