The study has also estimated project completion capital of C$858.5m ($789.78 m) including C$75.6m ($69.5m) contingency. Also, the net present value at 10% is said to be C$1bn ($919m)

The Gahcho Kué diamond project, a joint venture between Mountain Province and DeBeers Canada is estimated to have total diamond production of 53.4 million carats over its 12 years of life, with average annual diamonds production of 4.45 million carats.

Mountain Province CEO Patrick Evans said that the feasibility study report confirms an economically robust, technically credible and environmentally sound development plan for the Gahcho Kué mine.

"The Company has received indicative term sheets from a number of potential bank and non-bank lenders. With the support of Mr. Rogers we will be evaluating these proposals with a view to selected a preferred lender in the near future and completing loan agreements prior to the end of 2014," added Evans.

Meanwhile, the ramp up costs of C$82m ($75.4 m) is excluding the expected revenue from the estimated production of 1 million carats during the production ramp-up period during September 2016 through January 2017.
