As per the order, Vestas will supply 48 V112-3.0MW turbines to the project.
Scope of the order also includes a 10-year Active Output Management (AOM) 5000 service agreement for the Oakfield project.
The service option comprises the VestasOnline surveillance system that remotely controls and monitors the turbines and reduces lost production by predicting when maintenance may be required.
Vestas sales and service division in the US and Canada president Chris Brown said, "This order underlines the strong partnership between Vestas and First Wind, one of the leading wind developers in the U.S."
"This is the fourth project Vestas and First Wind are carrying out together and the second in Maine," Brown added.
"The first project in Maine has achieved 99 per cent availability since it was commissioned in 2012, a testament to the performance of our technology and service capabilities that customers expect from Vestas."
Supply of turbines to the Oakfield project would begin in the second quarter of 2015, while the commissioning is expected to take place by the fourth quarter of 2015.
Vestas would manufacture turbines for the project at its factories in Colorado, the US.
The latest order is said to be a call-off on the master supply agreement (MSA) announced in December 2013 for multiple US projects totaling 718MW.
Vestas has secured a total of 298 MW order under this MSA.
